What Do I Do In An Emergency?
- Contact your therapist.
On your first appointment you will be given written information about how to contact your therapist in an emergency.
- Call your therapist's office.
After office hours, the message on the answering machine will give you instructions about how to contact your therapist or the therapist on call.
- Call the Psychiatric Crisis Center.
The phone number is 503-585-4949.
For more information, click here to go to their web page.
Located at 1049 Oak Street SE, just east of Salem Hospital, the Psychiatric Crisis Center is staffed 24 hours a day every day.
If you are going there in person,
here is a map of the location.
- Some other resources that might be helpful include
Who Is The Right Therapist For Me?
- First, consider age. Some of our therapists see only children, some only adults and some see all ages.
- If alcohol or drug use is a factor, a therapist who is also trained in addiction counseling is a wise choice.
- If you think that medication might be an important part of your treatment, consider seeing one of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.
- Some prefer a male therapist, some female.
Once engaged in treatment, clients often report that this is not nearly as important as they thought it would be before starting therapy.
- Location and accessibility may be important issues.

What Is Happening With My Bill?
Don't hesitate to call our billing department at 503-315-8646.
Though payment for therapy is your responsibility,
we'll assist you in your efforts to understand and pay your bill.
How Do I get My Prescription Refilled?
Be sure to call your pharmacy at least four days before you need the refill.
Even if you have no refills remaining, it is almost always best to call your pharmacy.
If a physician’s approval is needed for your prescription to be refilled, your pharmacist will call or fax us.
Schedule II Medications
Federal law requires that certain medications need a new, original prescription written by your doctor each time the medication is dispensed.
It is not possible to have a prescription with refills.
If you are requesting refill of a prescription for a schedule II medication, the best procedure is to leave your psychiatrist a voice mail including your name,
the name of the medication, whether it is immediate release or timed release, the strength of the tablets or capsules and how many you take per day.
Unless you need to come in for an evaluation, you can expect a call back from your doctor or nurse practitioner within a day or two telling you your prescription is ready to pick up.
